Hex Adapter

Hex adapters are a tool that changes the size of a hexagonal socket. A little metal piece with a hexagonal hole on one end and a hexagonal protrusion on the other commonly makes up this component. The hex hole on a bolt or nut is made to fit over a hexagonal socket, and the hex protrusion can fit into a socket of a different size, enabling the user to turn the bolt or nut using a tool that they already own.
